Lowell High School Athletic Hall Of Fame

In 2005 the Lowell High School Athletic Hall of Fame was established.  The LHS Athletic Hall of Fame constitution was written and a committee of community volunteers serve as the LHS Hall of Fame Selection Committee. The task of this committee is to identify individuals and teams from LHS’s history that represent the highest ideals of “sport” and athletic competition, seek their athletic and “life” resumes, and select a LHS Hall of Fame class each year.

The purpose of this effort is not so much to glorify athletic accomplishment, but rather to focus on the benefits of athletic participation, encourage our young high school students to participate in high school athletics, and to enhance the “athletic heritage” of LHS for our entire community to celebrate. We want our current high school athletes to meet real former LHS athletes so that they can see “first hand” that participation in athletics during their high school years can help them grow to become good, productive adults in their future years.
